About the Role

As the Product Manager for VSI at FUJIFILM VisualSonics, you will have a deep understanding of marketing strategies and consumer behavior. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the development and execution of marketing-related products and features. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps, deliver innovative solutions, and enhance marketing efforts to drive growth and brand visibility. The Product Manager is a resource for the global VSI business and must be able to transform customer and product needs into solutions across geographies, working closely with R&D. FUJIFILM VisualSonics empowers researchers with innovative ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging solutions for small animal research, contributing to advancements in health sciences and scientific breakthroughs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate product updates, progress, and strategy to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for marketing-related products, aligning with company goals and market trends.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify consumer needs, competitive landscapes, and emerging trends to inform product decisions.
  • Create and maintain a clear product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer feedback and business objectives.
  • Work closely with marketing, design, engineering, and other teams to define requirements, set priorities, and ensure successful product development.
  • Manage the end-to-end product development process, from ideation and design to testing, launch, and post-launch optimization.
  • Champion user-centric design principles to create exceptional user experiences that drive engagement and conversion.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly analyze product performance, using data insights to make informed decisions.
  • Gather and analyze user feedback through surveys, user testing, and customer interviews to iterate and improve product features.
  • Monitor and evaluate competitors' products and marketing strategies, identifying opportunities for differentiation and improvement.
  • Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders in specific areas of technology.
  • Maintain awareness of product quality and reliability.
  • Contribute as a team member of the Go to Market team by providing project timelines, technical specifications, product benefits, and configurations.
  • Carry out the requirements of the company's quality system.
  • Participate in scientific meetings and tradeshows (travel required).
  • Generate all related documents for product lines, including Sales Briefs, Product Briefs, Sole Source Specifications, Applications Notes, Imaging Guides, Protocols, and White Papers.
  • Travel as necessary to support responsibilities.
  • Perform other projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in science, biology, computer science, or engineering (preferred); marketing, business, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience in product management with a focus on marketing-related products or features.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, consumer behavior, and digital marketing channels.
  • Excellent project management skills, including prioritization and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and a data-driven decision-making approach.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.
  • Experience with Agile or other product development methodologies is a plus.
  • Ability to understand customer and VSI business needs.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into clear product requirements for R&D.
  • Ability to think about the application of preclinical ultrasound in non-traditional ways.
  • Leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, conflict resolution, and team building.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • PC experience in Windows environment with MS Office applications.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs with or without accommodations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Agile or other product development methodologies.
