About the Role

Space and Floor Planning is central to the execution of category manager strategy. It informs aspects of assortment planning with important data on space constraints at physical locations, and it facilitates the execution of the final assortment plan. Leveraging 84.51 science, space and floor planning continuously optimizes the customer experience so that customers can get the products they want at a location, stores save labor while stocking, and supply chain reduces days of supply and working capital costs. The role involves owning and driving a product from vision through design to delivery within a larger cross-functional team, working with significant autonomy within a broader strategy set by senior leadership. Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive a product from vision, through design, to requirements, and finally delivery.
  • Facilitate within a larger cross-functional team to solve business problems.
  • Work with significant autonomy and freedom, requiring little oversight.
  • Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
  • Create, maintain, and communicate product catalog roadmaps, including near-term delivery and 1-2 year product evolution, to engage stakeholders.
  • Identify product requirements and future enhancements through collaborative engagements to support product strategies.
  • Develop a product plan and deliver breakthrough experiences to market by working with technical and non-technical partners.
  • Model Agile principles by maintaining a groomed backlog and providing prioritization for backlog.
  • Set criteria for Minimum Viable Product to increase the speed and frequency of delivering enhancements and new capabilities.
  • Travel to work locations to attend company meetings and observe users/customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business, marketing, management or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of software development, product management or business analyst experience in a technology business with success in sales and/or customer use through new/evolving products.
  • 3+ years of experience bringing customer-facing technology products to market.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and extreme attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify metrics/key performance measures and use data to drive decisions that enhance the customer and user experience.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in product management.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with iterative product development (Agile).
  • Product management experience with a multi-channel retailer.
  • Experience using Atlassian products.
  • Ability to identify product requirements and future enhancements through collaborative engagement.
  • Experience creating and maintaining product roadmaps and metrics.
  • Ability to develop a product plan and deliver innovative experiences.
  • Knowledge of Agile principles, backlog grooming, and MVP criteria.
  • Willingness to travel to work locations and observe users/customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in product management, software development, or business analysis.
