Product Marketing Manager, Agriculture Valves & Fittings - The Toro Company

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain existing product lines, including performing monthly sales volume and profit audits to identify areas for improvement.
• Define new product requirements and maintain constant field contact with distributors, sales force, and installers to ensure products meet customer expectations.
• Coordinate new product development and modifications to existing product lines by interfacing with R&D and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet expectations.
• Manage and execute divisional product development plans, including setting product specifications and cost goals, and providing market condition insights.
• Develop new product launch materials, support field staff and distributors with sales tools and training, and evaluate marketing collateral.
• Analyze competitive positioning through trade shows, industry meetings, and customer visits; collect and maintain competitive literature.
• Introduce new product ideas to management, interpret customer needs for product trials, and develop programs to recover investment through sales.
• Maintain and update product information files for training, customer presentations, and marketing materials, including catalogs, videos, and technical bulletins.
• Manage product portfolio related to agriculture valves and fittings, and build strong cross-functional relationships with Engineering, Sales, and Customer Care teams.
• Travel 5-20%, including international travel for VOC events and trade shows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, or Agronomy; MBA preferred or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in product management, market planning, or related fields with a bachelor's degree, or 2+ years with an MBA.
• Strong project management and supervisory skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of business principles and experience in the irrigation or agricultural markets is helpful.
• Proficiency with personal computer and related software for job tasks.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Prior industry experience with agriculture valves and fittings.
• Experience with Power BI, SAP, and/or Quality Emphasis.
• English/Spanish bilingual skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, or Agronomy.
• Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
• 4+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree or 2+ years with an MBA in product management or related fields.
