About the Role

Matillion is The Data Productivity Cloud. We are on a mission to power the data productivity of our customers and the world, by helping teams get data business ready, faster. Our technology allows customers to load, transform, sync and orchestrate their data. We are looking for passionate, high-integrity individuals to help us scale up our growing business. This role is based in the Bay Area and involves shaping the go-to-market strategy for our flagship AI product, Maia, including leading product launches and defining market positioning.

Key Responsibilities

Craft compelling, high-impact marketing content that brings our AI-powered value proposition to life, showcasing how Matillion uniquely solves customer pain points and stands out in the modern data stack.
Partner cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to articulate how agentic AI and autonomous data engineering connect to our broader platform vision.
Define and execute bold positioning strategies that spotlight our differentiated AI approach, clearly setting us apart from both legacy vendors and next-gen entrants.
Lead end-to-end AI product launches, orchestrating integrated go-to-market plans that build momentum, spark adoption, and attract industry attention.
Enable the sales field with persuasive, technically fluent collateral and tools that sharpen competitive advantage and accelerate deal velocity.
Monitor the fast-moving AI and data landscape, delivering strategic points-of-view to help Matillion stay ahead in a competitive market.
Translate customer and market insights into actionable feedback to steer smarter, faster decisions across Product and GTM teams.

Requirements

Proven experience (3+ years) across the entire product marketing lifecycle, including market analysis, positioning, persona work, pricing, launches, and competitive strategy.
Experience within the cloud data ecosystem with a strong focus on AI features.
Ability to turn complex technical concepts like agentic intelligence, pipeline autonomy, and AI orchestration into compelling, customer-centric narratives.
Skill in developing high-quality content across web, decks, briefs, and videos that clearly communicate Maia's value and drive pipeline, adoption, and engagement.
Ability to translate technical value for both C-level executives and hands-on users by simplifying complex concepts.
Experience working seamlessly with Product, Sales, and Engineering to build and execute go-to-market strategies.
Strong ownership, fast-moving mindset, and impact-driven approach to initiatives especially at the intersection of AI and GTM.

Nice to Have

Experience with AI product launches and go-to-market strategies.
Familiarity with the modern data stack and data ecosystem.

Qualifications

Product marketing experience within the cloud data ecosystem with a focus on AI features.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in product marketing roles.
