About the Role

The Product Marketing Manager at Advanced Energy is a leadership role focused on growing the company's market position through understanding key accounts, markets, technologies, and future market/technology directions. The role involves working closely with strategic customers, internal teams, and management to define market and product strategies that align with corporate goals. Advanced Energy is a global leader in designing and manufacturing highly engineered power conversion, measurement, and control solutions for mission-critical applications across various industries, headquartered in Denver, Colorado.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand market segments, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Engage with key industry technologists by understanding market technologies sufficiently
  • Develop and execute market share goals and strategies
  • Conduct competitive assessment including market share, strengths and weaknesses, and strategies
  • Identify market opportunities and portfolio gaps
  • Work with Product Management, Applications Engineering, and Design Engineering to define product and technology roadmaps based on market requirements
  • Manage relationships within strategic accounts through Total Relationship Management (TRM) and Roadmap Meetings
  • Participate in the annual strategic planning process by defining market/region size, growth, and inflection points
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Engineering Managers to develop strategies aligned with AE's corporate goals
  • Work with Product Management to develop product positioning, value propositions, and differentiation
  • Serve as a consultant to peer groups within AE to support new product development and new business opportunities
  • Influence decisions and actions with customers and AE's management teams
  • Build strong relationships within AE, with customers, and industry leaders across diverse cultures

Requirements

  • 7+ years of customer interaction experience
  • 7+ years in a marketing, technical, or sales position in plasma processing
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, material sciences, or plasma processes

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with foundries or semiconductor equipment manufacturers in a marketing, key account technologist, or field manager role

Qualifications

  • Formal educational background in engineering, material sciences, or plasma processes
