The role of Product Marketing Manager in the Precision Irrigation Business involves managing product categories, supporting product development, and driving growth in the irrigation industry at the Riverside, CA location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain existing product line, including performing monthly sales volume and profit audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Define new product requirements and maintain contact with distributors, sales force, and installers to ensure products meet customer expectations.
  • Coordinate new product development and changes to existing product lines by interfacing with R&D and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet expectations.
  • Manage and execute divisional product development plans, including setting product specifications and cost goals, and providing market and competitive analysis.
  • Develop new product launch materials, support field staff and distributors with sales materials and training, and evaluate marketing collateral.
  • Analyze competitive positioning by attending trade shows, distributor meetings, and industry events, and maintaining a competitive literature library.
  • Introduce new product ideas to management, interpret customer needs for product trials, and develop programs to recover investment through sales.
  • Maintain and update product information files for training, customer presentations, and marketing materials, including catalogs, videos, and technical bulletins.
  • Manage product portfolio, contribute to long-range and annual plans, and build strong cross-functional relationships with Engineering, Sales, and Customer Care teams.
  • Travel 5-20%, including international travel for VOC events and trade shows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Marketing, Engineering, or Agronomy; Master's in Business Administration (MBA) preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in product management, development of market plans, and analytical spreadsheets with a bachelor's degree, or 2+ years with an MBA.
  • Strong project management and supervisory skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of business principles and experience in the irrigation or agricultural markets is helpful.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and related software required for job tasks.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Prior industry experience with agriculture and/or irrigation is preferred.
  • Experience with Power BI, SAP, and/or Quality is preferred.
  • English/Spanish bilingual is preferred but not required.
