About the Role

The Product Sales Manager will be responsible for the vision, strategy, and execution of the assigned segment of the commercial portfolio within the O-ring and Engineered Seals Division of Parker Hannifin. This role requires strong analytical skills and an understanding of market trends. The Product Sales Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional Division teams and exercise sound judgment in determining pricing, product offerings, target markets, and sales forecasting. The goal is to increase Division sales and profitability by delivering innovative solutions that meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support field sales with pricing, project milestones, customer inquiries/visits, and complaint monitoring.
  • Develop and manage relationships with distributors to expand product reach and sales.
  • Collaborate with partners on marketing, sales initiatives, and training to ensure product positioning and profitable growth.
  • Understand customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Define and communicate vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with company goals and market needs.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and periodic evaluations of sales and margin results.
  • Forecast sales, revenues, and market share.
  • Plan, lead, and help conduct OES Division Product School twice per year (on-site).
  • Coordinate planning with attendees and presenters to ensure maximum effectiveness of training sessions.
  • Work with meeting services and local vendors to host and facilitate meetings, lodging, meals, and activities.
  • Lead a monthly Distributor and Field Sales townhall (virtual) to show Division updates pertinent to audience.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of advertising and promotional programs.
  • Attend sales conferences, trade shows, and other relevant events.
  • Monitor Distributor performance and analyze data to assess growth success.
  • Monitor project pipelines and track progress to ensure timely execution of Division activities.
  • Ensure alignment among teams and resolve any issues that may impact project success.
  • Present to Division and Group staff during planned report outs.
  • Gather and incorporate customer feedback to improve the product and channel strategies.
  • Communicate value proposition to internal teams, customers, and partners.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree, preferably in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business or Related Business Management.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in field sales or product management of related industry (engineering or operations experience combined with customer-facing experience can also be considered).
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving / resolution skills.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Teams, Sharepoint, Power BI, etc).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Travel up to 40%.

Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree, preferably in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business or Related Business Management.
