The position can be filled in any location within the assigned territory in Northern Indiana. The role involves selling value-added outdoor lighting services to governmental, commercial, institutional, and industrial customers, including outdoor lighting and associated monitoring and control technology. The candidate should be customer-sensitive, team-oriented, and possess a high level of technical and business expertise in solving customer issues and supporting internal and external resources.

Key Responsibilities

Sells outdoor lighting services to solve business and customer needs while developing and strengthening relationships with customers.
Ensures business goals and objectives are accomplished through effective negotiations, communication, and work monitoring.
Prepares thorough and accurate proposal/contract documentation related to business development initiatives.
Develops positive working relationships using effective oral and written communication skills while representing the company professionally.
Strives to continually improve outdoor lighting business development processes, procedures, and performance.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Marketing or related field, and 2+ years of related work experience.
OR High school Diploma/GED and 9+ years of related experience.
Basic understanding of outdoor lighting designs and products.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software tools.
Ability to work in a team environment to achieve shared goals.
Willingness to travel 50+% and work in a hybrid environment with some onsite and remote work.

Nice to Have

6+ years relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree in engineering or business.
8+ years relevant work experience with an associate's degree or 12+ years without a degree.
MBA, Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, LC (Lighting Certification).
Experience in outdoor lighting designs and products.
Proven project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to learn new systems.
Experience working in utility regulatory environment.
Comprehensive financial and business acumen.
Analytics capability to analyze market and financial data.
Facility management, product management, program management, energy management, project management or process management experience.
Demonstrated experience in change management, process integration, and supervisory or management experience.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, conflict resolution, leadership, and facilitation skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Marketing or related field, with 2+ years of experience, or equivalent experience with a high school diploma and 9+ years of related work.
