About the Role

The Revenue Enablement Manager at Protolabs is responsible for the overall strategy, execution, and success of the enablement function, empowering revenue-generating teams with knowledge, process, tools, and content to grow revenue and serve customers. This role involves leading cross-functional collaboration across sales, marketing, product, and revenue operations to maximize sales efficiency and build a culture of continuous improvement. The position is hybrid, based in Maple Plain, MN, with onsite presence on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales enablement strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives and drives revenue growth.
  • Empower a culture of continuous improvement through programs, events, and relationships, emphasizing collaboration and fun.
  • Lead and mentor a team of sales enablement specialists, providing support and direction to ensure their success and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, product, and operations leadership to ensure strong cross-functional collaboration and integration of enablement initiatives with broader business strategies.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of sales enablement programs, including onboarding, ongoing training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Ensure the sales team is fully trained and equipped with the knowledge and skills to execute sales methodologies and processes.
  • Develop and oversee the creation of high-impact sales enablement content such as playbooks, training materials, and resources aligned with company messaging.
  • Manage the selection, implementation, and integration of sales enablement tools and platforms to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Establish sales enablement metrics and KPIs to measure program effectiveness and refine initiatives to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, positioning the sales enablement function as a strategic partner.
  • Manage the sales enablement budget and allocate resources to maximize ROI and ROE.
  • Advance the maturity of the sales enablement function to meet the evolving needs of the sales organization and GTM unit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in sales enablement or a related role, with a proven track record of driving sales performance through strategic initiatives.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Deep understanding of sales processes and methodologies, with experience in implementing and scaling enablement programs across large organizations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and build consensus among senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate high-level business goals into actionable enablement strategies.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills for planning and executing complex programs.
  • Proficiency with sales enablement technology stacks, including content management, revenue intelligence, sales engagement tools, and LMS platforms.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and reporting to inform decision-making and demonstrate program impact.
  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation to maximize ROI.

  • Experience in a technology or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a hybrid or onsite role in a corporate setting.
  • Knowledge of ITAR compliance and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in sales enablement or related roles.
