About the Role

The Sales Development Manager at Vertical Solutions is responsible for leading sales efforts across climbing walls, holds, and pads, driving growth through client engagement, outreach strategies, and collaboration with design, production, and marketing teams. The role involves expanding the company's reach in the indoor climbing industry by managing sales processes, analyzing performance data, and ensuring exceptional client service in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead sales across climbing walls, holds, and pads, from generating leads to closing deals.
  • Develop and execute outreach strategies, including identifying potential customers and tracking activity in Salesforce.
  • Analyze performance data and campaign results to drive revenue and profitability.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure client expectations and timelines are met.
  • Partner with marketing to develop and implement promotional campaigns, social media strategy, and outreach tools.
  • Assist in pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and deal structure development.
  • Maintain deep product knowledge and stay current with climbing industry trends and competitors.
  • Provide a best-in-class client experience through exceptional service and proactive communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of successful B2B sales experience, ideally in a high-touch environment.
  • Outdoor enthusiast who enjoys rock climbing and can connect with clients' interests.
  • Solid understanding of the climbing market, with bonus points for construction/manufacturing insight.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Organized, self-driven, solutions-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
