About the Role

The Sales Development Representative - Technology & Digital Solutions is responsible for identifying and navigating potential customer leads, generating new business opportunities, and working with the team to build stronger relationships and share of wallet for Regal Rexnord & Perceptiv. This role will work closely with Perceptiv's sales team to execute commercial sales strategies, prioritize and map customer accounts, navigate & influence decision makers, and help to hit our company's goals. The role involves direct lead generation of strategic customers, communicating and co-selling with multiple sales teams, coordinating strategy for tradeshows, webinars, trainings, value proposition messaging, and VOC analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial business development with a record of connecting with clients and navigating systems with strong interpersonal skills, a drive for execution, a competitive attitude, organizational skills, adaptability, and ownership of opportunities. Perceptiv is a fast-paced, high-growth business, and this person will be crucial in accelerating that growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategically identify and generate new business opportunities for Perceptiv
  • Establish relationships with key industry contacts, plant and corporate, to enhance Perceptiv's relationship and win more share of wallet
  • Generate leads through intracompany relationships and strategic accounts, leveraging Regal Rexnord's broad install base across our Industrial Powertrain and Automation & Motion Control customers
  • Generate leads through proactive high volume outreach, both cold and warm, with strategic target accounts via email, phone calls, LinkedIn messages, etc.
  • Schedule appointments for Perceptiv Business Development Managers
  • Own, develop and execute strategy for converting end users with Connectable Equipment full Perceptiv platform and service customers
  • Manage and update lead and client interactions through Salesforce
  • Collaborate with sales team to enhance sales tactics
  • Create and execute tradeshow customer strategy - outreach and planning
  • Stay up to date with VOC and report industry developments to leadership
  • Understand and articulate Regal Rexnord value statements to customers and identify opportunities for core products
  • Understand and articulate Perceptiv's value statement and differentiators to customers
  • Continuously improve and own the ideal customer profile
  • Perform account management and decision tree mapping
  • Collaborate with Regal Rexnord divisions to convey Perceptiv value proposition and grow sales
  • Support evaluation of new markets, offerings, and industries, and develop strategic plans and growth initiatives
  • Live and execute Regal Rexnord core values daily

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 7+ years' professional experience preferred
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with professional lead generation and business development preferred
  • Experience developing cold and warm leads required
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing and reliability marketing is strongly preferred
  • Strong business and marketing acumen with understanding of driving awareness, positioning, and adoption in industrial, distribution-focused business
  • Strong knowledge of lead generation tactics and ability to navigate tools to create ROI
  • Team player capable of leading cross-functional teams and collaboration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of ownership and drive for success
  • Proven ability to develop high-level relationships within large, complex organizations
  • Experience soliciting customer feedback, interpreting results, and implementing strategic changes
  • Critical thinking and ability to adjust strategies accordingly
  • Ability to communicate opinions clearly while managing relationships and team dynamics
  • Innovative mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo
  • Ability to listen and accept diverse views without abandoning own position
  • Analytical skills to interpret market and VOC data to anticipate trends
  • Self-starter with ability to operate well in ambiguity and chart own path
  • Proven track record of achieving results at various organizational levels

Qualifications

  • Educational background including Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Professional experience in lead generation and business development
