About the Role

The Sales Director in Columbus, OH at Cogent Communications is responsible for leading a sales team of Sales Managers and their representatives. Key Responsibilities

Lead a sales team of Sales Managers and their sales representatives.
Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet assigned new revenue quotas.
Maintain direct contact with customers as a major part of the role.
Lead, coach, and train managers and sales reps in selling Cogent products.

Requirements

Proven track record of success selling Telecom/Technology products.
Experience in finding new business opportunities.
Strong team leadership and management experience, including managing Sales Managers.
Motivation, drive, and a great work ethic.
Ability to work in a challenging environment and achieve results.
Some travel will be required.
A college degree is preferred.
Proficiency with PC-based applications such as Word, Excel, and CRM systems is a plus.
