About the Role

The Sales Director - Customer Workflows (Retail) role at ServiceNow involves building and leading a sales team to drive new business growth within the retail vertical. The position requires developing sales strategies, engaging with customers and partners, and managing relationships at the executive level to support the company's mission to make the world work better for everyone. Key Responsibilities

  • Build a team of direct Sales Executives to drive rapid new business sales growth in the region
  • Develop and execute sales strategy for the region in collaboration with Sales Operations, including understanding the competitive landscape and regional presence
  • Engage in territory planning, relationship development, and opportunity development to support revenue growth
  • Support and assist Field Sales Teams in closing opportunities
  • Recruit, coach, and mentor team members to achieve excellence
  • Develop territories and quotas for the sales team and communicate performance expectations
  • Manage and report accurate forecast and pipeline data
  • Achieve annual sales goals on a quarterly and yearly basis
  • Engage with C-level executives to understand customer business requirements
  • Build effective relationships with Solution Consulting, Business Units, Professional Services, Marketing, partners, and the ServiceNow executive team
  • Retain and grow existing customer base through regular engagement activities to deliver excellent customer experience

Requirements

  • Experience selling into or managing a team selling into the Retail vertical
  • Ability to be located anywhere in the United States with access to a major airport
  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving
  • Extensive track record of success in new business sales, including presentation and negotiation skills at industry and C-Level
  • Strong success in recruiting, coaching, and managing high-performing sales teams
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and financial planning skills to meet and exceed quotas
  • Ownership of accurate CRM reports, including forecasts and opportunity management
  • Experience in driving sales processes and working effectively with Sales Operations
  • Ability to understand broader business drivers and build long-term strategic relationships
  • Ability to adapt within a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Proven ability to build and lead self-motivated sales teams that embrace collaboration and overachievement
  • Established partner relationships and ability to grow revenue streams through the partner ecosystem

Nice to Have

  • Experience with or understanding of how to incorporate AI into workflows and decision-making
  • Experience working with or within the retail industry specifically

Qualifications

  • Experience managing or selling into the retail vertical
  • Ability to work remotely within the United States with access to a major airport
