The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is situated in oceanfront surroundings with white-sand beaches and black-lava landscapes, inspired by Hawaiian traditions and art. The Sales Manager role involves driving strategic account growth, promoting awareness in various markets, and working closely with hotel operations to deliver exceptional experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop accounts (new and existing) by mapping specific business and buying tendencies, maintaining organized correspondence and follow-up.
  • Perform daily telephone solicitations to new and existing accounts/customers in a defined geographic region.
  • Promote awareness to corporate, incentive, and association markets via travel, presentations, and personal sales calls.
  • Maintain communication and relationships with the WSO network and other Four Seasons hotels to achieve revenue goals.
  • Create and execute an annual sales plan specific to market assignment.
  • Present in one-on-one, small group, or large forum settings (up to 80+ people).
  • Promote local awareness through relationships with regional tourism authorities and CVBs, attending local event planning opportunities.
  • Conduct property tours personally or in the absence of on-site capacity, including detailed layouts and sales methods.
  • Entertain customers on property, conduct site inspections, and engage with hotel operations and leadership to expand personal brand awareness.
  • Work closely with conference services and catering during planning and execution of events, keeping leadership informed.
  • Negotiate contracts to maximize profitability while satisfying customer needs.

Requirements

  • Must possess legal work authorization in the United States.
  • College education or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in presenting property in small and large client forums, developing concise sales strategies.
  • Typing speed of 50-70 words per minute.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of Delphi; FDC software preferred.
  • Knowledge of luxury Hawaii group markets and relevant market experience preferred.
  • Five to seven years' experience in a resort, hotel, or sales capacity.
  • Excellent critical thinking, creative problem solving, and solution-oriented thinking.
  • Ability to work with sales support software technologies for up to 8-10 hours per shift.
