About the Role

As the Sales Manager for our West sub-Region, you will lead a dynamic team focused on driving sales strategy and expanding our market presence. Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, engaging with key customers, analyzing market trends, and shaping our sales approach to meet customer needs. You will play a pivotal role in mentoring your team and ensuring our innovative Steam Turbine and Compressor solutions align with market demands, all within a culture that values collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Your contributions will directly impact our success and Siemens Energy's mission to deliver sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive annual sales plan to achieve order entry targets and enhance market penetration for steam turbine and compressor portfolio in the assigned territory.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry partners, acting as the primary point of contact for major accounts and negotiating profitable contracts.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth, and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, engineering, and operations, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Prepare and present sales budgets, forecasts, and performance reports to senior management, utilizing data analysis to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales management within the energy sector, particularly in compressor technologies.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and success in competitive markets.
  • Strong understanding of the power generation, Oil & Gas, and related industries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with steam turbines and compressor solutions.
  • Experience in the industrial decarbonization sector or green hydrogen markets.
  • MBA or advanced business degree.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in business, engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience in sales management within the energy or industrial sectors.
