About the Role

NTT DATA is seeking a SAP Sales Director to join our team remotely. The role involves driving revenue through the sales of SAP services, including consulting, implementation, and support. The position requires developing sales strategies, building client relationships, managing a sales team, and collaborating across organizational units within a matrixed environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a sales team by recruiting, managing, coaching, and mentoring sales executives to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Define sales strategies and processes, develop territory plans, set performance standards, and ensure effective selling models and campaigns.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies by defining a vision, identifying market needs, and creating plans to generate competitive advantage and revenue streams.
  • Monitor and manage the sales pipeline to ensure demand generation and sustainable growth.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform territory planning, opportunity prioritization, and performance optimization.
  • Partner with marketing and alliances to drive pipeline generation and enhance value propositions.
  • Coordinate across NTT DATA operating companies to align SAP go-to-market strategies and leverage shared capabilities.
  • Utilize sales methodologies for industry solution selling and value-centric sales approaches.
  • Engage with SAP at the executive level to understand their business plans and align strategies.
  • Build a network of relationships across industry, partner ecosystem, community, and business groups.
  • Maintain and update SFDC to log activities, manage the sales pipeline, and track performance.
  • Stay informed about SAP solutions, including SAP S/4HANA, BTP, Joule, and industry trends, especially in Life Sciences and Manufacturing.
  • Work collaboratively with internal BU sales and Client Executive teams.
  • Coach and develop overlay sales representatives to support account teams, drive SAP solution adoption, and accelerate deal velocity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in SAP service sales leadership.
  • 10+ years of SAP field sales experience.
  • Ability to travel to clients as needed.
  • Strong hunting skills to develop net new pipeline.
  • Experience in collaborating with SAP.
  • Strong understanding of SAP solutions and ability to communicate their value to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in engaging with senior decision-makers and tailoring solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets with negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client and partner relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with SFDC and sales tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of SAP market trends and competitive landscape.
