Senior Analyst, Consumer Insights (Syndicated, Big Data, Foresight) - BCG Vantage (TA)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Play a critical role in helping customer insights projects succeed within the Center for Customer Insight (CCI).
• Leverage syndicated/big data, including digital/social/search analytics and cultural insights, to uncover high-impact insights for BCG clients.
• Contribute to the expansion and commercialization of CCI's 'insights infusion' offerings, including products and tools that fuel client work with external insights.
• Act as a connector between insights infusion products and BCG case teams, educating colleagues on their value, guiding solution use, and developing product roadmaps.
• Deploy insights tools on client cases, customizing applications based on client context and objectives, and integrating insights from primary and custom research.
• Contribute to IP development, go-to-market enablement, and knowledge dissemination of insights offerings across BCG’s network.
• Partner with topic leaders and knowledge experts to refine research-driven products and position them as essential enablers for client priorities.

Requirements

• 2+ years of consulting experience involving syndicated customer data and/or big data or behavioral data, or 3+ years in a market research agency (4-6+ years preferred).
• Strong familiarity with secondary, syndicated, and digital data sources such as Nielsen/IRI, Mintel, Morning Consult, YouGov, social listening, search analytics, and cultural tracking platforms.
• Solid foundation in primary research methodology (quantitative and/or qualitative) with ability to connect insights across data types.
• Experience translating data into strategic implications and commercial opportunities.
• Prior exposure to sectors such as CPG, Retail, Tech, Media, Financial Services, or Travel & Leisure is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in marketing, behavioral science, analytics, or related fields is a plus.
• Fluency in English required.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with data tools like Alteryx, Tableau, SPSS, Q, R is a plus.
• Strong business acumen, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in virtual, agile environments, navigate complexity and ambiguity, and bring a curious, creative mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience with image recognition and image analytics.
• Experience with data tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, SPSS, Q, R.
• Exposure to sectors like CPG, Retail, Tech, Media, Financial Services, or Travel & Leisure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
• 2+ years of consulting experience or 3+ years in market research, with 4-6+ years strongly preferred.
