Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the demographics, psychographics, occasions, path to purchase and behavioral drivers of the brand's consumer through data and research
  • Understand, validate and/or develop the consumer's hidden universal truths to drive relevant communications
  • Analyze data and synthesize learning into insights to optimize plan and commercial investment decisions to deliver business results
  • Leverage data and trends to generate insights and transform them into marketing innovation, brand building (communications) and retail programs
  • Own the P&L to ensure that key business KPIs such as revenue, profit, market share, and brand health are met
  • Lead the monthly operating process to deliver business performance and ensure accurate forecasting to mitigate supply challenges and key demand fluctuations
  • Track sales, consumption, and consumer trends to identify gaps and opportunities
  • Project end-to-end impact of business plans and prepare cross-functional teams to deliver (procurement, T&P, supply, etc.)
  • Manage the brand's consumer marketing budget and demonstrate efficient and effective investment approach
  • Lead the development of strategic revenue management strategies including pricing, promotions, and price pack architecture
  • Explore and incorporate new approaches to brand innovation including licensing agreements and strategic partnerships
  • Work with internal teams and external agencies to develop marketing strategies and plans that increase awareness, penetration, and purchase frequency
  • Identify optimal engagement strategies and campaign structures to reach consumers effectively
  • Ensure the cultural relevance of the brand's identity, essence, and activations across all touchpoints
  • Activate the brand's nutrition, health, and wellness propositions in consumer communication
  • Support packaging changes due to product, graphic, or formula updates
  • Lead innovation projects in support of the brand's innovation strategy
  • Partner with Sales and Customers to execute strategy and maximize retail performance in an omni-channel environment
  • Analyze promotional programs for effectiveness and make ongoing recommendations
  • Translate 3-year strategic plans into annual commercial plans to drive sales and marketing tactics
  • Lead the development and execution of annual marketing plans covering product, price, place, and promotion, including leading the ICP process

Requirements

  • Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) in Marketing or related business field; or equivalent experience, MBA preferred
  • Knowledge of budget control methods, policies and procedures
  • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Strong research and strategic analysis skills
  • Ability to work independently, autonomously and adapt quickly to change
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic financial acumen and understanding of risk/return calculations
  • Ability to prioritize workload, self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • At least 3-5 years of work experience in marketing or brand management
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing agency partners
  • Experience leading marketing communication projects including digital and media strategies
  • Experience leveraging data, research, and trends to generate insights (IRI or Nielsen knowledge recommended)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical capabilities with creative solutions

Nice to Have

  • MBA or advanced degree in related field
  • Experience with IRI or Nielsen data
  • Experience in licensing agreements and strategic partnerships

Qualifications
