Key Responsibilities

  • Develops strategic marketing plans, considering agency strengths, competitors, and market conditions.
  • Identifies and secures profitable new business opportunities in target markets and develops and implements strategic plans, resulting in a specified increase in market share.
  • Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with key agencies by providing tailored insurance solutions that meet their specific needs, leading to an increase in agency retention and satisfaction.
  • Educates agencies on product features, market placement, and effective selling techniques.
  • Drives revenue growth by achieving or exceeding sales targets and may develop and execute cross-selling and up-selling strategies.
  • Conducts market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, informing strategic decision-making.
  • Manages the Oklahoma area, including visiting agents and brokers, with frequent day and overnight travel (60% - 80% of time).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic business development, marketing, or a related role.
  • Progress toward or completion of certifications such as AU, CPCU, CIC, INS, or ARM.
  • Strong understanding of agency dynamics, marketing, underwriting, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Proficiency in interpreting competitive data and industry trends.
  • Knowledge of insurance laws, regulations, underwriting rules, guidelines, and rating standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions.
  • Demonstrated decision-making ability and customer-centric mindset.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight trips.
