The main purpose of the position is to identify and secure new project opportunities in the region, establish project structures, and drive projects through to financial close and the start of construction.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in utility-scale solar PV projects across the region.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local developers, authorities, utilities, and financial institutions.
Conduct project-specific financial modeling, investment analysis, and risk assessments.
Secure land, substation space, and necessary servitudes for project development.
Lead permitting processes, environmental assessments, and community engagement initiatives.
Structure and negotiate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and other offtake arrangements.
Oversee interconnection studies and secure network connection agreements.
Drive business case development, project financing, and tax structure optimization.
Conduct due diligence for project acquisitions, covering technical, legal, and financial aspects.

Requirements

Master's Degree in Commerce, Engineering, Legal or other relevant fields.
10 - 15 years relevant experience from project development and contract negotiation in the energy industry.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken; an additional language is beneficial.
Able to prioritize responsibilities and self-manage.
Working knowledge and understanding of Power Purchase Agreements, grid connections, permitting requirements, bidding processes, and project financial modeling.
