About the Role

AMD's Data Center GPU organization is transforming the industry with AI-based Graphics Processors. The role involves driving business success with China cloud providers, managing operational processes, and collaborating with engineering, sales, and customer success teams to deploy AMD technologies in AI and cloud environments. The position emphasizes strategic engagement, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration within a culture that values innovation, humility, and inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategy and playbook for AMD's engagement with China cloud customers through deep understanding of customer needs and synthesizing comprehensive hardware and software solutions.
  • Outline and operationalize strategic business targets aligned with corporate and BU-level goals.
  • Execute to annual objectives as measured by design wins, revenue, and gross margin.
  • Build and drive DC GPU CBG process framework for high impact and efficiency.
  • Manage all operational processes including sales coordination forums, providing MOF/LRP inputs, maintaining pricing POR, responding to sales escalations, and tracking KPIs and dashboards.
  • Engage with system hardware architects, software engineers, and thought leaders at customers to ensure collaboration with AMD engineering and software teams.
  • Lead technical and business-related follow-ups as AMD's key point of contact.
  • Build partnerships with CSP's internal sales teams and their end customers.
  • Develop training materials and demand-generation content.
  • Analyze industry trends, especially CSP performance in AI.
  • Serve as the first line of resolution for technical and quality issues with China CSPs.
  • Forecast and align customer-specific revenue plans with AMD Sales teams.
  • Collaborate extensively with AMD engineering, product, quality, and business planning teams across BUs.

Requirements

  • Expertise in GPUs and acceleration in AI/cloud environments.
  • Ability to assess technical and business trade-offs for ROI.
  • Experience in business development or product management within the semiconductor industry.
  • Proven experience managing quarterly forecasts, pricing, customer roadmaps, design wins, and enablement strategies.
  • Strong understanding of datacenter, MDC, and channel business models.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including presenting to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence cross-functional teams globally.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.

Nice to Have

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Experience with managing customer portfolios and account strategies.
  • Network of industry relationships with partners, competitors, customers, and thought leaders.
  • Understanding of where technology is heading and how to leverage it for customer impact.
  • Experience with executive-level interactions in technical and business domains.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
  • MBA preferred.
