About the Role

The Senior Director of Business Development North America IVF Services is responsible for driving strategic growth and partnership development within the fertility and reproductive genetics sector. The role involves expanding market presence, managing key client relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful service delivery and business expansion in North America for CENTOGENE's IVF-related products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue strategic partnerships with IVF clinics, fertility centers, OB-GYN practices, and donor banks in North America.
  • Drive adoption of CENTOGENE's preimplantation genetic testing (PGT-A, PGT-M), expanded carrier screening (ECS), and whole-exome/genome-based fertility diagnostics.
  • Lead end-to-end business development lifecycle, including prospecting, proposals, negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for CENTOGENE's IVF-related products in North America.
  • Analyze market trends and regulatory developments to optimize commercial strategies.
  • Collaborate with the global product and marketing teams to tailor messaging and service delivery for North American clients.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for high-value clients and strategic partners.
  • Foster long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including medical directors, embryologists, and genetic counselors.
  • Monitor service quality and support account growth through upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Coordinate with clinical, legal, regulatory, and operational teams to ensure successful execution of partnership agreements and service delivery.
  • Provide strategic insights to internal stakeholders based on client feedback and market intelligence.
  • Represent CENTOGENE at relevant conferences, medical congresses, and industry events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MSc, or PhD) in life sciences, healthcare, or business preferred.
  • 10+ years of business development or commercial experience in healthcare or life sciences, with 5+ years in fertility, genomics, or women's health.
  • Deep knowledge of IVF workflows, reproductive genetics, and/or genetic counseling.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing commercial partnerships in North America.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%) across the U.S. and Canada.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with genetic testing solutions (PGT, ECS, WES/WGS, NGS platforms).
  • Familiarity with EMR/LIMS systems used in IVF clinics (e.g., eIVF, IDEAS, LabWare).
  • Previous experience in a growth-stage, global diagnostics or biotech company.
  • Understanding of North American payer and reimbursement systems in fertility/genetics.
