This role is instrumental in advancing CARE's mission by unlocking new revenue streams, building meaningful corporate alliances, and positioning CARE as a trusted partner in tackling global poverty and injustice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and grow strategic partnerships by expanding and deepening CARE's corporate partnership portfolio, working with existing partners and leading business growth on the West Coast.
  • Set tailored strategies for each partnership and collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximize value across a range of assets, including managing the full partnership lifecycle: outreach, strategy development, negotiation, execution, and long-term stewardship.
  • Manage a portfolio of corporate partners with a focus on innovation and technology, identifying and activating partnerships that align with CARE's innovation priorities and help scale solutions addressing global challenges.
  • Work closely with CARE program colleagues in the U.S. and country offices to ensure CARE has a solid portfolio of offerings and is well represented in relevant networks and meetings.
  • Develop an external presence for CARE on the West Coast by attending corporate events, speaking at industry gatherings, supporting employee engagement, hosting cultivation events, and serving as a liaison during visits from CARE leadership.
  • Create compelling partnership concept notes, pitch decks, and other externally facing materials, and position partners for external recognition.
  • Provide other support as requested.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand business drivers for corporate support and leverage core business, employee talent, consumer base, and brand to further organizational goals.
  • Strong skills in developing tailored strategies, negotiation, and managing the full partnership lifecycle.
  • Excellent external communication skills, including developing presentation materials and representing the organization publicly.
  • Experience working with program teams and understanding of global development or nonprofit sectors is preferred.
  • Ability to develop external presence and engage with corporate and industry networks.
