Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the regional lead for sales and business development of products and services released by KLA Services, driving growth of regional service revenue and gross margins.
  • Build, lead, and manage a high-performing team to achieve strategic goals and operational excellence.
  • Renew and forecast existing service business deals and evaluate new business opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships and alignment with key business unit stakeholders and regional division business development leads to ensure a unified message to customers.
  • Oversee market analysis, monitor competitive activity, and identify customer requirements continuously.
  • Provide leadership in planning, due diligence, and implementation of strategic business objectives.
  • Define vision, strategies, and tactics for the region.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel while leveraging matrix management across the region.
  • Responsible and accountable for regional revenue forecasting, supporting strategic planning outlooks.
  • Manage customer engagements proactively, develop long-term strategies, and cultivate relationships at all levels including Director and Executive levels.
  • Lead contract renewal negotiations, including at VP levels, utilizing data analysis and sales processes.
  • Drive product and service alignment with business units and regional leads to optimize tool, service pricing, and total cost of ownership.
  • Host service pitches to communicate value and support collateral development.
  • Manage financial KPIs such as ASP, Market Share, Gross Margin, and contract penetration, and develop plans to improve these metrics.
  • Drive strategic planning activities and present plans to executives.
  • Manage business through existing operating models and define new models with regional counterparts.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen, assessing impacts and anticipating challenges.
  • Motivate and influence cross-team actions across BUs and divisions.

Requirements

  • Master's degree with 15 years of experience in Semiconductor capital equipment systems or service sales, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience managing large commercial engagements with a strong track record of closing deals.
  • Ability to manage a team of individuals both domestically and internationally.
  • Expertise in building effective relationships with key customers at VP level and above.
  • Adept at leveraging and developing internal processes to enable organizational scale.
  • Ability to speak a second language, specifically Japanese, is a bonus.

Nice to Have

  • Masters degree with 15 years of experience in Semiconductor capital equipment systems or service sales.
  • Knowledge of KLA inspection and metrology equipment or broader market OEM knowledge such as process tools used in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Experience managing large commercial engagements with a strong closing record.
  • Ability to develop and create new internal processes to enable organizational growth.
  • Ability to speak Japanese.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with at least 15 years of relevant experience.
