About the Role

At Walmart Connect, we are revolutionizing the advertising landscape by creating a bridge between supplier brands' upper funnel brand building and retail shoppers on an unprecedented scale. Backed by first-party customer data and closed-loop measurement, we are leading the retail media industry. This role involves managing a team within our Toys, Seasonal, and Celebration division, working with one of our largest partners, and driving innovative retail media solutions to deepen brand connections and grow revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage key businesses within one of our largest Toy suppliers/partners.
  • Build and manage relationships with executive clients and senior partner stakeholders.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients' business challenges, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
  • Shape annual joint strategies between Walmart and clients, leading cross-functional teams to drive client success.
  • Plan and achieve annual and incremental growth goals through the presentation of Walmart advertising products and solutions.
  • Conduct data-driven analyses and consultative recommendations that align with customer goals, presenting high-impact opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional leadership and be the face of high-profile accounts.
  • Travel as required (up to 25%) to meet with brand teams, shopper marketing teams, agencies, and Toy Merchants.
  • Work closely with Media & Entertainment teams as Toys and M&E intersect, especially regarding licenses and licensors.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of quota-carrying digital sales experience.
  • Experience in WMC products and/or digital media solutions, especially paid search, programmatic, and CTV.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and successful relationship management experience.
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup, sales, or online advertising environment.
  • Team management and leadership ability, including managing senior-level direct reports.
  • Executive presence and experience developing content for and leading CMO-level meetings.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, resourceful, and decision-oriented.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Master's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Sales, or Advertising.
  • Experience preparing and executing budgets.

Qualifications

  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, sales, advertising, or related area and 4 years' experience in business development or related area.
  • Option 2: 6 years' experience in business development or related area.
