Job Description

About the Role

The Team: At NI/Emerson Test & Measurement, the Product Marketing Engineering team is where engineering meets business. We are a dynamic group that bridges the gap between cutting-edge R&D and our customers. Our mission is to showcase the technical benefits of NI hardware and software products to technical audiences, including customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders. We create impactful content such as white papers, presentations, videos, product demonstrations, and web resources to position our products effectively and drive demand for NI's world-class technology! The Opportunity: As a Senior Product Marketing Engineer, you'll play a vital role in shaping the way we communicate the value of NI hardware and software products. You'll collaborate with product management, R&D, and sales to understand customer pain points and craft compelling content that demonstrates how our technology solves real-world challenges better than any other solution on the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product management, technical & partner marketing, and sales to develop product positioning and articulate key messaging.
  • Support NI's go-to-market campaigns and bring new products and features to market by working with technical and corporate marketing as a product expert.
  • Create white papers, presentations, videos, product demonstrations, and other web collateral to position and generate demand for NI's products and technology.
  • Manage new product releases and coordinate with cross-functional teams for successful rollouts.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the target buyer persona(s), including their needs, challenges, and decision drivers.
  • Support pre-sales activities as an NI product expert.
  • Support product-centric sales training activities across direct and indirect channels.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve product messaging and positioning.
  • Monitor product and campaign performance metrics to assess marketing effectiveness.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of product marketing, technical marketing, solutions marketing, or related roles in test and measurement applications.
  • Knowledge of data acquisition and instrumentation including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and waveform generators, and their use-cases.
  • Experience with LabVIEW, TestStand, and NI hardware is a plus, but not required.

Nice to Have

  • Strong communication skills: Proficiency in technical writing, engaging/educational video content, and presenting to diverse audiences.
  • Detail oriented: An expert multitasker with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously while still delivering highly accurate and quality work.
  • Project leadership: A proven ability to drive tasks and projects to successful completion.
  • Collaboration: The ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving: Skill in diagnosing technical issues and offering creative, practical solutions.
  • Adaptability and self-motivation: A desire to learn quickly, thrive in ambiguity, and take initiative.

Benefits & Perks

  • Flexible, competitive benefits plans including medical insurance, dental and vision coverage.
  • Employee Assistance Program, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, employee resource groups, recognition, and more.
  • Flexible time off plans, including paid parental leave (maternal and paternal), vacation, and holiday leave.
