Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, execution, and analysis of public opinion and market research projects from start to finish.
  • Develop research instruments such as survey questionnaires and discussion guides.
  • Manage survey fielding, focus group logistics, and day-to-day project coordination.
  • Draft toplines, interpret crosstabs, and prepare data summaries using tools like SPSS, Excel, and visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure research aligns with project goals and timelines.
  • Support the integration of advanced analytics and automation tools (e.g., Python, R, or APIs).
  • Translate research findings into clear, compelling presentations and reports for clients or leadership.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a public opinion research position.
  • Experience conducting opinion and market research using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
  • Familiarity with research methodologies and analytics tools.
  • Ability to manage research projects through their lifecycle, including design, instruments, vendor coordination, fieldwork, and analysis.
  • Ability to interpret and draft toplines, crosstabs, quota sheets, and data weights.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with statistical software like SPSS, SAS, or Stata.
  • Strong writing, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and time-management skills.

Nice to Have

  • Formal training in research methodologies and analytics tools.
  • Ability to program surveys in Qualtrics.
  • Experience with advanced Excel functions and pivot tables.
  • Experience with Python and R for data manipulation and visualization.
  • Familiarity with APIs for workflow automation or survey integration.
  • Experience presenting research findings directly to clients.
  • Ability to create PowerPoint presentations of findings.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented research approach with interest in sharing ideas and mentoring.

Qualifications

  • Formal training in research methodologies and analytics tools (preferred).
  • Experience with programming surveys in Qualtrics (preferred).
  • Experience with advanced Excel functions and pivot tables (preferred).
  • Experience with Python and R for data manipulation and visualization (preferred).
  • Familiarity with APIs for automation (preferred).
  • Experience presenting research findings to clients (preferred).
  • Ability to create PowerPoint presentations of findings (preferred).
