The Senior Sales Director - California will lead a team of sales professionals focused on delivering predictable and profitable sales in the SMB market, with national responsibilities across the US, emphasizing merchant acquiring solutions and sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executing the sales plan and ensuring sales goals are met.
  • Assigning clients, territories, and sales targets to sales staff.
  • Planning and directing sales activities across the US to fulfill staffing requirements.
  • Managing and proactively helping drive the creation of sales pipeline.
  • Defining and executing sales strategies and tactics to increase new merchant sales and add-on revenue.
  • Supervising, developing, motivating, and mentoring sales staff.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with referral partners to ensure high lead flow and positive partnership experience.
  • Administering compensation and assessing sales performance to improve results.
  • Actively managing all phases of the sales lifecycle, including lead generation, nurturing, closing, and activating merchants.
  • Providing guidance and eliminating obstacles in high-value opportunities.
  • Producing management reports such as sales forecasts, pipeline analysis, and sales productivity metrics.
  • Ensuring proper usage and data accuracy in salesforce.com.
  • Providing thought leadership on key market and industry insights.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years of sales and sales management experience.
  • Experience selling merchant acquiring solutions to the SMB market.
  • Experience managing a successful sales team selling directly to SMB merchants.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets consistently.
  • Demonstrated success leading field sales organizations of at least 50 sales professionals.
  • Ability to travel 50%+ across the US.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Master's Degree a plus.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range from $90,900.00 to $193,500.00, depending on location and experience.
  • Commission eligibility based on sales performance.
