About the Role

Himax Technologies is a worldwide market leader in display driver ICs and timing controllers used in various consumer electronics devices. Himax Imaging, a subsidiary of Himax Technologies, develops low power CMOS Image Sensors for consumer, computing, IoT, and automotive markets. The company focuses on enabling intelligent and autonomous visual sensing solutions with industry-leading image sensors and holds over 300 patents in image sensor design and algorithms. The role involves working in Irvine, CA or Houston, TX, with a focus on sales of AI processors and image sensor technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, and drive design-wins, for Himax AI processor and image sensor technology solutions to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Collaborate with team members to develop sales strategies and plans
  • Develop and manage customer relationships from working level to leadership
  • Maintain deep understanding of the customer's business and technical objectives and strategies to ensure ongoing alignment with Himax business objectives
  • Recruit effective distributors, manufacturer representatives and value-added resellers
  • Monitor sales performance and manage corrective actions
  • Develop and deliver presentation and product demos to potential clients
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network and generate leads
  • Prepare and submit sales reports and forecasts to management
  • Heavy travel to meet with customers and conduct sales meetings
  • Perform other duties assigned by management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or similar fields
  • 8+ years of sales and business development in the technology industry
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategy and identify new business opportunities
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing large territories
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills in English

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • 5 years of experience in semiconductor sales
  • Experience with image sensors and computer vision
  • Experience with industries related to IoT devices, embedded systems, and/or personal computers
  • Candidates with Mandarin fluency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or similar fields
  • 8+ years of relevant sales and business development experience
