About the Role

The Hilton Motif Seattle is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to join their dynamic team. Located in downtown Seattle, the hotel features modern amenities including a vibrant restaurant, extensive meeting space, and redesigned rooms. The role involves developing market segments, building customer relationships, and maximizing revenue across various hotel services. Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the hotel by soliciting, responding to, and negotiating with persons requiring large and complex group accommodations, generally over 50 guest rooms, with or without meeting space and/or on-site catering.
  • Develop and quote prices for guest rooms, meeting space, and banquet facilities, and prepare proposals and contracts for prospective customers.
  • Engage in outside sales activities, including site visits, industry tradeshows, and customer events, to generate new business opportunities.
  • Conduct site inspections with potential customers, showcasing guest rooms, meeting spaces, and hotel facilities based on their needs.
  • Coordinate customer specifications such as room, food and beverage, and meeting space requirements via lead management systems.
  • Research, solicit, and generate new leads through database research and proactive sales efforts to maximize room revenue.
  • Negotiate contracts and commission agreements with end-user customers and intermediaries, supporting the contracting process with Hilton Worldwide Sales and Legal teams.
  • Develop and execute business plans, maintain a pipeline of opportunities, and manage account and booking information accurately.
  • Actively engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureau, and Intermediaries to retain existing customers and secure new business.
  • Create and implement sales strategies, including outside calls, industry events, and customer visits, to meet and exceed revenue goals.

Requirements

  • Strong sales, communication, and networking skills with the ability to understand customer needs and negotiate effectively.
  • Experience in developing and executing sales plans and managing customer relationships.
  • Ability to conduct site inspections and deliver compelling storytelling to prospective clients.
  • Proficiency in using lead management systems and maintaining accurate account information.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and generate new business leads.
  • Knowledge of contract negotiation and agreement processes.
  • Understanding of the hospitality industry and customer service excellence.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer expectations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Delphi FDC or similar hotel management software.
  • Previous experience in hotel sales or hospitality management.
  • Knowledge of local market dynamics and industry networks.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hotel sales, hospitality, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of generating new business and managing customer accounts.
