About the Role

The Hilton San Jose is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to lead sales efforts in the group, corporate, and business travel markets. The role involves developing new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and maximizing revenue streams. Key Responsibilities

  • Research, solicit, and generate new leads for group opportunities through database research and proactive sales efforts, maximizing new room revenue streams to meet and exceed lead generation goals.
  • Represent the hotel in the development of market segments and new customer relationships while maintaining existing relations with assigned accounts.
  • Develop a business strategy by analyzing hotel and market trends, implementing marketing initiatives to capture maximum lead revenue, and meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Actively engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureau, and Intermediaries to retain existing customers and secure new business.
  • Develop and execute plans for outside sales calls, industry tradeshows, and customer events.
  • Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of business opportunities aligned with short and long-term objectives.
  • Represent the hotel in all customer interactions, including creating business proposals and executing contracts.
  • Conduct site inspections based on customer needs through storytelling and presentation skills.
  • Coordinate customer specifications (room, F&B, meeting space) via lead management systems and maintain account and booking information in Delphi FDC.
  • Negotiate contracts and commission agreements with end users and intermediaries, supporting the process with Hilton Worldwide Sales and Legal teams as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong sales, communication, and networking skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of customer needs and apply a disciplined approach to qualify, negotiate, and secure revenue.
  • Experience in prospecting, identifying potential customers, and executing sales strategies.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and understand customer and business leader expectations.
  • Experience in developing and executing business plans and maintaining sales pipelines.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, market trends, and customer relationship management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and discipline.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Hilton or similar hospitality brands.
  • Familiarity with Delphi FDC or similar lead management systems.
  • Previous experience in corporate, group, or event sales within the hospitality industry.

Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality sales, preferably in group, corporate, or event markets.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to develop strategic sales plans and execute them effectively.
