Social Media & Archive Response Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing comment moderation on Facebook, X, and Instagram, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and major events, in coordination with the social media team.
• Partner with the Sr. Manager of Social Media and Executive VP to respond to comments needing the President/CEO's response.
• Provide and update social media archives for posts in digital and hardcopy formats for all President/CEO social channels.
• Monitor and report on audience sentiment, trends, and engagement metrics.
• Objectively assess thousands of daily comments while maintaining spiritual discernment in comment responses.
• Manage violations of audience engagement by removing spam, abusive or vulgar content, and unauthorized promotions across English and Spanish channels.
• Escalate security concerns, including threats, impersonations, or suspicious accounts, to the Sr. Manager and third-party IT security teams.
• Maintain vendor relationships related to third-party IT security and archiving platforms.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure ministry-related comments receive timely responses.
• Support the organization’s mission by upholding Christian values and spiritual discernment in all interactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university and two to three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• General knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, X, and Instagram.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Working knowledge of Macintosh/Apple computers.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Availability to work designated after-hours moderation, including set overtime on weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English.

• Experience with social media comment moderation in a faith-based or nonprofit environment.
• Knowledge of social media management tools and archiving platforms.
• Experience working with IT security teams or managing security concerns related to social media.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BA) or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in social media or related fields.
