Social Media Coordinator

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Updates social media accounts with fresh content to increase engagement and outreach
• Conducts research to find articles and stories relevant to FUSEE's mission and vision
• Researches and implements successful social media strategies modeled off of trends and successful accounts to make content educational and entertaining
• Monitors and replies to online inquiries appropriately
• Tracks social media growth and analytics and provides monthly updates to the team
• Supports traditional media projects
• Provides assistance with special events including tabling, outreach, and taking photos and videos for content
• Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing general tasks as needed

Requirements

• Creative self-starter with a passion for environmental issues including forest/fire ecology, social justice, and/or health and wellness
• Experience with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, and YouTube
• Experience creating Reels and staying up-to-date with trends and Reels content
• Able to commit an average of 15-20 hours a week
• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Comfortable working in a nimble, collaborative environment where roles may shift
• Access to a laptop computer and a camera
• Interest in using Google Suite system

Nice to Have

• Experience with long-form videography
• Interest in media strategy development

• Experience with social media content creation and management
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
