About the Role

Grace Fellowship is a Christ-centered, non-denominational, Christian church in the Capital District that believes in the authority of the Bible. All the Church's teaching focuses on integrating the truth of God's Word into our daily lives. Grace Fellowship's mission is “to glorify God by making more and better disciples.” The church has 3 locations: Latham, Halfmoon, and Saratoga. The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for creating captivating video and social media content, playing a key role in executing the creative vision of Grace Fellowship's social media, video, and communication efforts. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with flexibility for full-time options for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Create captivating video and social media content, including reels, promotional projects, testimonies, sermon bumpers, and other creative projects for worship services and online mediums.
Capture photo and video content and assist in the production of in-service video elements.
Work collaboratively with team members and independently on projects.
Recruit, develop, and train volunteers to assist with the Communications Department as needed.
Play a key role in executing the creative vision of Grace Fellowship's social media and communication efforts.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated understanding of video composition, layout, design, typographic, and visual communication practices.
Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
Experience with or ability to learn video equipment and software including cinema cameras, DSLRs, lighting, audio recording, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop.
Understanding of video formats, frame rates, conversions, and codecs.
Knowledge of current social media platforms and trends.
Availability to work weekdays, Sundays, and occasional evenings.
Proven ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Nice to Have

Associates degree from a 2-year college and/or 4 years related experience or training.
Experience with After Effects, Lightroom, Audition, Resolve.
Digital photography experience.
3D, Motion graphic, Unreal engine experience.
Up-to-date knowledge of latest technologies and best practices in video content creation.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; or equivalent experience.
Experience or training in video production and social media content creation.
