Social Media Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Schedules and publishes social media content accurately and in a timely manner across various social channels.
• Uses a content management platform (Hootsuite) to manage, monitor, and analyze the performance of social media content.
• Actively engages with relevant social content posted by others, including monitoring and addressing comments.
• Coordinates social listening duties with the customer care team to ensure timely responses to customer inquiries.
• Ideates creative social media content, tapping into culturally relevant moments that align with loanDepot's brand and messaging.
• Performs basic editing of social media content, including short-form videos and photos.
• Works closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, creative, events, and business units to execute social campaigns.
• Monitors social landscape for notable developments and trends, elevating insights to organizational teams.
• Monitors competitor social media strategies to surface insights and opportunities for differentiation.
• Measures and reports on the impact of social media content and campaigns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred and at least 1 year of social media execution and content development experience.
• Deep understanding of social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, and TikTok.
• Experience with social media management tools such as Hootsuite and Meta business platform.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Highly effective organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Proficiency with editing software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and video editing tools like CapCut, Canva, and IG Edits.

Nice to Have

• Experience with digital campaign management and social media strategy development.
• Knowledge of competitive analysis within social media landscapes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (preferred).
• Minimum of 1+ years of social media execution and content development experience.
