Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an effective social media strategy that grows MU Health Care's social media communities while aligning with organizational strategic priorities, marketing strategies, branding goals, and overall content strategy.
  • Identify target audience and channel segments, and plan, write, and create engaging content tailored to audience preferences.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to create complementary assets including graphics, images, and videos for various social media channels.
  • Engage with members across the organization to discover and curate content that showcases patient success stories, organizational expertise, testimonials, and community engagement.
  • Ensure tone and style, across all mediums, are consistent with brand standards and brand voice.
  • Develop and maintain a well-organized and detailed social media content calendar, ensuring all planned content is scheduled efficiently on the social media management tool.
  • Create and implement a written response strategy for comments and messages, acting as the voice of the brand and engaging with appropriate messages and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor social media metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of organic content and campaigns to optimize engagement and make data-driven recommendations to management for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports on social media performance, providing insights and recommendations to the marketing and communications team and stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, algorithms, tools, best practices, and emerging channels to present recommendations for our brand engagement to management and executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a social media strategist or similar role.
