About the Role

The Sales Manager at Springhill Suites Colorado Springs South is responsible for achieving sales and revenue goals by effectively soliciting and securing new accounts, working in conjunction with the Director of Sales to meet the hotel's market share objectives. The role involves managing relationships with clients across various segments such as Leisure, Business Travel, Group, and SMERF, and supporting the hotel's overall performance within Aimbridge Hospitality's standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively attain assigned sales and revenue goals, as well as solicitation call goals.
  • Proactively conduct solicitation calls, conduct sales tours, and entertain clients specific to Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel (BT), and/or Groups, as applicable by property.
  • Grow existing relationships with assigned accounts specific to Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel (BT), and/or Groups, as applicable by property.
  • Monitor and evaluate trends within your market segment.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality's established regulations, company standards, sales standards and sales metrics.
  • Develop a full working knowledge of hotel operations and policies.
  • Maintain strong visibility in the local community and industry organizations.
  • Assist in implementing or participating in special promotions related to sales segments.
  • Attend meetings and perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Access and control sensitive areas of the hotel, including secure storage and guestrooms.
  • Drive safely on behalf of the company for business reasons.
  • Represent the company with good character and sound judgment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous Hotel Sales experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
  • Developed verbal and written communication skills for negotiation and influence.
  • Experience with professional selling skills such as opening, probing, supporting, closing.
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong organization and presentation skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with hotel operations and policies.
  • Experience working with industry organizations and community engagement.
