About the Role

The Sr Sales and Business Development Manager at T-Mobile is a strategic and dynamic leader responsible for managing new growth opportunities in the wireless telecommunications industry. This role involves identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities, managing the full sales cycle from outreach to contract execution, and developing new partnerships that support T-Mobile's wholesale business. The position offers visibility within the company and with external partners, enabling significant business impact and results. The role may be located remotely and requires travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and drive the complete sales cycle of new WLS partnerships, including structuring complex strategic partnerships, developing economic, business, and operational models, negotiating commercial terms, and executing detailed contracts with legal support.
  • Identify new wholesale opportunities, build and manage the sales funnel, close deals, and meet or exceed sales objectives.
  • Drive the creation and development of new partnerships and structure related product/service strategies.
  • Progress new partner opportunities through funnel stages to close deals, manage forecast processes, and deliver against business plans and metrics.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to obtain support and approvals for deal execution.
  • Coordinate with MVNO and IoT teams for customer management during onboarding or post-signature.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business development within the wireless telecommunications industry.
  • Experience in strategic sales and business development in wholesale wireless, high-tech, or consumer electronics industries, or with wireless OEMs.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong strategic, industry, and financial analysis skills, including Excel financial modeling.
  • Experience leading business case modeling for deals over $100M/year.
  • Results-driven strategic thinker with the ability to analyze and model data for strategy development.
  • Sound technical understanding of wireless and internet technologies, and wireless telecom network and OSS/BSS technologies.
  • Broad understanding of wireless business models.
  • Expert presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interaction with C-level executives.
  • Strong cross-functional team building experience with engineering, operations, finance, product development, and marketing.
  • At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to Have

  • Management experience as an analyst or engagement manager for top-tier management consulting firms with experience in mobile telecommunications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in wireless telecommunications business development.
