This role is positioned at the intersection of strategy, marketing, and execution, ideal for a professional who thrives in crafting structure from ambiguity and driving cross-functional teamwork. The individual will lead the development and execution of Metro's brand strategy and messaging across all owned channels, including retail and web, serving as a key steward of the brand and building strategies that resonate with customers and drive business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate insights from market trends, customer behavior, competitive analysis, and channel performance into actionable plans.
  • Lead the evergreen brand strategy and messaging for Metro, ensuring it is clear, compelling, and consistently applied across all customer touchpoints, including retail environments, web, and other owned channels.
  • Develop and implement coordinated marketing strategies that support business goals and customer engagement.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Consumer Insights, Marketing, Creative, Retail Merchandising, and additional partners to bring strategies to life.
  • Drive cross-functional team alignment and execution for coordinated campaigns and brand initiatives.
  • Bring transparency and structure to fast-paced, evolving environments, rallying teams around shared goals and delivering results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • 7+ years Marketing experience in authoring and implementing national integrated marketing plans with recognized B2C brands (Required)
  • 2+ years Delivering Omni/Multi-channel integrated campaigns at scale and leveraging data and digital in execution. (Required)
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing including web/ecommerce, media, social, paid search, attribution, optimization, etc. (Required)
  • Outstanding experience applying consumer insights to improve campaign targeting, delivery, performance, etc. (Required)
  • Campaign leadership skills including end-to-end campaign development such as strategy, segmentation, targeting, in a Multi-channel/Omni-channel environment. (Required)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize inputs into actionable plans.
  • Experience managing or supporting omnichannel marketing efforts, especially in retail and digital environments.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to Have

  • Master's/Advanced Degree
  • Validated experience in commercial and strategic marketing roles with strong executional track records.
  • Ability to lead and influence across functions without direct authority.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong storytelling and brand building.
