The Sr. Sales Executive - Business Development will be responsible for developing and executing plans to grow our Onfido sales Identity organization within the financial industry, working collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects / targets and evaluating their position in the financial industry.
  • Researches and analyzes financial industry market, competitors, strategies, sales options, including partnerships / alliances and channel plays.
  • Creates and presents key sales materials targeted to the financial industry.
  • Organizes and coordinates team selling, including account managers, bid management, and technical resources.
  • Contributes to account planning and forecasting.
  • Develops relationships with appropriate customers to influence strategies related to product development and in pursuit of defined opportunities.
  • Works with Account Executives to drive and close sales for achievement of annual commitments.
  • Stays abreast of new product or capabilities development that can impact or benefit sales activity.
  • Participates in marketing and product activities that will need input from sales.
  • Develops and maintains a deep understanding of competitive offerings within marketplace.
  • Develops and maintains close relationships with associations and other entities that may impact markets covered by the team.
  • Leverages pipeline building, tracking, and financial planning solutions through timely and comprehensive use of CRM and other reports/tools.
  • Creates annual/quarterly business plans and reviews to ensure performance against plan and strategic imperatives.
  • Accurately forecasts orders and manages funnel of opportunities.
  • Builds strong and open cross-functional relationships with superiors, peers, and team to coordinate resources.
  • May act as escalation point to resolve complex issues.
  • Recommends and implements process improvements.

Requirements

  • Track record of consultative selling and team selling.
  • 5+ years' experience in business-to-business sales capacity or equivalent.
  • 5+ years' enterprise sales experience providing custom solutions to customers.
  • Prior experience in financial industry with market/customer understanding and relationships at banks, credit unions, and fintech companies.
  • Successful track record of developing sales, service, bid management, and solutions delivery.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with customers and colleagues.
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US.
  • Travel requirements: Minimum of 40%, some international travel expected.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in the Identity Verification industry.
  • Prior experience in business consulting.
