About the Role

The Office of Diversity Programs (ODP) seeks a motivated and inclusive student to serve as an Agent of Change, providing an opportunity to develop career skills while contributing to an equitable campus environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to plan and execute 2-6 monthly programs or events, including menu planning, guest coordination, speaker outreach, event setup/breakdown, and decorations.
  • Create engaging digital and print content to promote events and educational messaging via social media channels, email, educational materials, videos, bulletin boards, and flyers.
  • Support daily center operations such as maintaining a welcoming and organized lounge space, managing inventory, copying and filing documents, and shopping for event materials.
  • Foster a sense of belonging and contribute to an inclusive campus environment by embracing diverse perspectives and championing the mission of ODP.
  • Demonstrate initiative by working independently and collaborating effectively with a diverse team, showing flexibility and willingness to support evolving needs and tasks.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion concepts.
  • Knowledge of basic computer/technology tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, Canva, and video/digital imaging.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
  • Current enrollment in an SNHU Undergraduate or Graduate Day program.
  • Positive standing with Academics and Community Standards.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in event planning and project management.
  • Public speaking, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Digital fluency and content creation experience using social media and multimedia tools.
  • Knowledge of communication strategies and team collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in an SNHU undergraduate or graduate day program.
  • Positive standing with academics and community standards.

Benefits & Perks

  • Hourly pay range of $12.00 - $15.00, based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
  • Opportunity to develop career skills and gain valuable experience in a professional setting.
  • In-person work environment with flexible hours typically between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with some weekend shifts.
  • Attendance at weekly staff meetings scheduled on Tuesdays from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
  • Work schedule generally 8-12 hours per week.
