About the Role

Parsons is seeking a highly strategic and technical leader for the role of Senior Vice President, Space Solutions Business Development. This position involves defining and driving Parsons' growth in the rapidly evolving space domain, developing and executing space strategies, and positioning Parsons as a trusted partner across defense, intelligence, and multi-domain operations. The role offers an opportunity to shape the future of defense and intelligence in a dynamic environment, working with cutting-edge technologies and leading a team at the forefront of national security and innovation. The position is based in-office near major Parsons offices in Northern Virginia/DC Metro, Huntsville AL, or Colorado Springs CO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Parsons' comprehensive space growth strategy, aligning with Defense & Intelligence Sector priorities and national security missions.
  • Identify and shape opportunities in emerging space mission areas such as resilient architectures, advanced space domain awareness, data fusion, PNT resiliency, threat detection, and multi-domain command and control.
  • Engage directly with mission owners, program offices, and technology thought leaders to understand operational gaps and develop impactful solutions.
  • Build and mature a robust opportunity pipeline focused on space-based sensors, secure communications, data exploitation, and mission operations.
  • Achieve a book-to-bill ratio greater than 1.0x, with a focus on quarterly performance and measurable results.
  • Drive pursuit of high-value prime opportunities ($250M+) and ensure solutions address customer mission needs with innovative approaches.
  • Collaborate with technical, program, and capture teams to ensure solutions incorporate advanced analytics, AI/ML, autonomous operations, and resilient architectures.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with technology innovators, system integrators, and R&D organizations.
  • Shape and negotiate teaming arrangements, NDAs, and IP strategies to create competitive advantages.
  • Evaluate M&A opportunities to expand Parsons' presence in mission-critical space segments.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of business development and capture professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • 20+ years in business development, strategy, and capture within the federal space market, with a proven track record of winning large-scale programs ($250M+) and managing revenue of $500M+.
  • Experience in building and converting pipelines in competitive environments, with leadership in organizations exceeding $1B in size.
  • Deep understanding of current administration priorities and national security objectives related to space markets.
  • Strategic thinker capable of developing and executing mission-centric solutions in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Technical fluency in space-based ISR, SATCOM, PNT, multi-domain integration, and advanced data exploitation.
  • Ability to translate technical areas into customer-relevant growth strategies.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) with the ability to build trust and inspire teams.
  • Strong communication skills, curiosity, humility, and a continuous learner mindset.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance is required.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with M&A evaluation and strategic teaming arrangements.
  • Familiarity with federal agencies such as U.S. Space Force, Space Development Agency, NRO, and others.
  • Experience leading teams in high-tempo, mission-focused environments.

Qualifications

  • 20+ years of relevant experience in federal space business development, strategy, and capture.
  • Proven success in managing large-scale programs and building pipelines of $500M+ revenue.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.
