About the Role

The Vice President, US Asundexian Product Lead at Bayer is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the development, preparation for commercialization, and post-launch performance of the late-stage pipeline asset, Asundexian. This role involves leading a cross-functional Product Squad, setting strategic priorities, and acting as the face of the brand in the US, with accountability for the P&L and alignment across Bayer functions and external partners. The position is integral to shaping the brand's success in the US market and contributing to Bayer's mission of delivering innovative treatments to improve patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership as a Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, and Coach to set and execute priorities, develop talent, and foster a high-performance culture for colleagues working on Asundexian and across the US Pharma Product & Pipeline team.
  • Build and lead the cross-functional Asundexian Product Squad to prepare for Phase 3 clinical trial readout, achieve brand ambitions, and create a compelling brand call to action.
  • Develop effective marketing strategies, programs, and tactics based on market, customer, and competitive insights to outmaneuver competitors and engage stakeholders such as HCPs, KOLs, payers, advocacy groups, and patients.
  • Monitor the competitive and scientific landscape to identify emerging drivers and barriers, and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Take full ownership of the Asundexian P&L, develop financial forecasts, and drive resource allocation to maximize growth.
  • Define and monitor key brand performance metrics, optimize performance based on data and insights, and inform execution priorities in 90-day cycles.
  • Collaborate with the Global Product Team to align strategies and shape the future of the brand and therapeutic area.
  • Work with US Pharma Customer Squads to ensure strong pre-launch planning and post-launch execution, developing aligned outcomes and leveraging local insights.
  • Develop and manage relationships with KOLs and external partners, collaborating with Medical and Customer Engagement teams.
  • Contribute to lifecycle management strategies, build capabilities across Bayer Pharma, and ensure compliance with US legal, medical, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to serve as a Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, and Coach.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare high-quality, concise presentations.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual skills, target-driven mindset.
  • High interpersonal and intercultural skills.
  • High degree of flexibility and commitment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop financial forecasts and problem-solve complex challenges.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (30% to 40%).

Nice to Have

  • 15+ years of experience in the healthcare field, with a mix of marketing and sales roles.
  • Bachelor's degree; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in commercial field and/or field leadership.
  • Background in cardiometabolic, anti-thrombosis, and hospital marketing.
  • Prior successful experience in large US product launches and global marketing.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary between $270,125.60 to $405,188.40, with potential bonuses or commissions.
